My New Year Resolutions

When planning my New Year Resolutions, I like to revisit and review the resolutions I made for the previous year.  Was I successful?  What worked?  What did not work?  What can I do to make my family happier and healthier?

My 2009 Resolutions were:
  • Feed my family more whole foods and less convenience foods. I did very well with this!
  • Exercise more consistently.  Better, but still needs to be more consistent.
  • Stick to a weekly budget.   Successful!
  • Create and write Bible story units for The Itty-Bitty Bookworm.  Almost complete.
After thinking about these, I began to consider my goals for 2010.

My 2010 Resolutions are:

Health
Spiritual
  • Begin each day with 15 minutes of quiet time (for prayer, meditation, devotional reading).
Professional
Family
  • Create more opportunities for one on one time with each of my children.
  • Have more "date nights".
  • Have a family night once a week.
What are your resolutions (or goals) for the New Year?   Do you plan to blog about your progress?

    Hi Tara,
You really did well on sticking with it this past year. I haven't really made any specific resolutions - I would like to get my music completed and in CD and Songbook form. I love that you are doing a Christian curriculum as well. Have a wonderful 2010!

You've got some great resolutions for 2010. I really enjoyed reading Real Food, and I think you'll like it too. I purchased Nourishing Traditions, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet!

One of my goals for 2010 is to get back to using The Itty Bitty Bookworm (Bailey) curriculum with Finley. I've missed it these last few months!! I'm prepping this weekend and excited to get started on Monday! (PS: Thanks again for that AMAZING sale before Christmas!!)

Awesome resolutions! I usually don't make resolutions, but this year I did. And there are plenty of them! Of course, I blogged about it...

These are great resolutions! I am so happy to know that you are going to have a kindergarten curriculum:) Bear and I are just getting ready to start some of the activities you have in the Bo curriculum for Corduroy.
We pretty much don't eat any white flour in our house except for rare treats. I just bake with whole wheat and only use raw sugar cane or honey as sweetener and decrease it to 1/4 of what the recipe calls for. We've gotten used to having everything minimally sweet.

You have lofty goals, and it's great that you did so well in 2009. I am very interested in your kindergarten curriculum. As you know, Anna is a bit over her age in everything academic except writing, and I think she might be ready for more kindergarten stuff. I'll be on lookout for it when it's released. I blogged about my own goals at http://learningwithmouse.blogspot.com/2009/12/mission-organization-3-top-10-for-2010.html

Tara, I love your resolutions. You make me look puny in comparison:-).

I so wish I had the "guts" to eliminate white flour and our sugar intake!! I have wanted to for ages, but sweets, baked goods are my biggest weakness.

I am all for that 5K curriculum getting finished. I have to say, the Starfall 5K looks great, but I LOVE IBB that we're using this year and I don't like change:-).

I wish you much luck and happiness in your family goals as well. I hope you have been enjoying these last couple weeks and all of you are very happy and very healthy too!!

    Happy New Year!!

LOve your resolutions. We are moving toward whole foods as well, but it sounds as though you are further along than we are!

    Happy New Year!

Thank you for linking your goals up at Beautiful Calling!

I didn't do goals last year and am envious that you are able to look at your 2009 goals with such accomplishment. May we all be able to do that for 2010!

(PS. I have can never come to you site without loving your bookworm logo! I'm sure I've commented that before though LOL)

Thanks for the inspiration, friend, and happy 2010~
