The First Break

It happened!

Wes broke a bone.

In his foot.

He "fell" (or, more likely, jumped) off of his bunk bed ladder.

This is how my daring little one will look for the next three weeks.

Awww Is he proud of his cast? For some reason kids seem to be proud of the damage they do sometimes. lol I have been lucky so far, but with 4 kids I am sure someone will break something eventually.

The pictures are adorable...must be the pain wasn't intense then.

Take care!!!

He looks like he might be just a little proud of it. I hope it heals quickly without too much pain.

He looks cheerful enough, but I'm not looking forward to the day this happens in our house...

Yep, he's proud that he can soldier through the pain. My son broke both arms (not at the same time!) and dislocated his shoulder before he was 16. I thank God he made it to manhood! Give your little guy extra kisses and keep the cast. I look at my son's now and can hardly believe my son's arm was ever that little. :)

oh no!! I am counting down the days until our first broken bone--yikes!!

Good luck with baths and keeping that thing clean. Better the fall than the summer, I guess?

Hey! Great theme for Halloween--doctor, nurse, injured kiddos....

Uh-oh, I hope both of you deal well with this:-), and that everything heals as it should.

Oh no! I hope he's on the mend and better in no time. I dread the day when this happens in our house....

Thanks for all of the well wishes! Wes is doing great. He really is a "tough guy". He has adapted to the cast and is now literally "running" all over.

Trick or Treating should be interested. Looks like we will be using a wagon.

Ouch! That's what you get for having a daredevil boy. I hope Wes heals quickly.
