Our fourth Birthday Party sponsor is Diana Orgain.
Diana Orgain is a writer, teacher, actor, and now a published author. Her first book,Bundle of Trouble (A Maternal Instincts Mystery), is about a first time mom named Kate Connelly. After having her first child, Kate decides that she does not want to return to work outside of her home. However, she knows that she needs to be able to contribute to her household income. After Kate finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation, she launches her new career as a private investigator.
Bundle of Trouble is the first of a new series called The Maternal Instincts Mystery Series. In this series child development information will be intertwined with Kate's development as a private investigator. When her baby first starts seeing ~ Kate finds clue. When baby can hold her head ~ Kate has a moment of pride in her investigation. Thus, Book One is all about the first six weeks of a baby's development; Book Two is month two; Book Three is month three, and so on.
I recently finished Bundle of Trouble and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could immediately identify with Kate. Her thoughts, fears, frustrations, and hopes were all things I had experienced as a new mother. Like Kate, the thought of going back to work after my maternity leave haunted me. I was so in love with my new little one that I could not imagine being away from her for 8 hours a day. I found it inspirational that Kate positively uses her feelings of dread as motivation. This motivation, of being able to spend more time with her new little one, enables her to muster up the courage to begin a new career. How brave!
In addition to wanting to befriend Kate, I also enjoyed the suspense of this book. It made me wish that I could stay awake a little bit longer, so that I could read more. I will eagerly await the release of the next book in the Maternal Instincts Mystery Series.
As much as I enjoyed this book, I know a first time mommy would really appreciate it. If you know someone who is expecting you have to purchase it for her. Bundle of Trouble (A Maternal Instincts Mystery)would be an adorable shower gift!

What a great concept for a book; I'm intrigued. I must admit I didn't read many pregnancy books, with the exception of WHAT TO EXPECT & it's first year partner. I think I read and reread these.
Great party :-)
Cheers
